LP Design

For this project I created a LP based off a playlist I could create. The tone of my playlist was very moody and jazzy, which made me think of noir crime comics whose visuals tend to match the themes I was trying to communicate. A lot of the songs on the LP talk about heartbreak and longing to be with someone you can’t be with anymore, so for the illustrations on the cover I wanted to show a man packing his things

from his ex-lovers house and sulking in the dark streets alone at night. The panel design is inspired by the same panels you would see in comic books. The typesetting on the back is also meant to mimic the panel style. My intended audience for this piece would be people who like jazz or may be into comic books.
