Food Magazine + Website

For this project I had created a cover and inside spreads for a food magazine whose newest issue is all about ramen. I also created a website to complement the magazine. This was supposed to be a spicy issue, so I wanted the color palette and imagery to convey spice, so I added a lot of deep reds and items like the sriracha bottle or the peppers on the cover. The entire cover is illustration, with added type-set headings.

I have used photography on the inside pages and website because it’s always important for food magazines to be able to see the dishes made. I also incorporated some illustrative elements so that it would speak the same visual language as the cover. The typesetting is compact and compartmentalized to match the arrangement of the cover.
